Using this site
5axis3d.com is a reference and information site about 5-axis 3D printing. Content is provided as-is, for general information. You may read it, link to it, and quote it with attribution and a link back.
A field that is still moving
Definitions, comparisons and statuses describe the field as we understand it at the date shown on each page. The technology landscape is a snapshot, openly incomplete, and other projects may describe themselves differently. Machine figures quoted anywhere on this site — including axis travel of X 220 × Y 190 × Z 180 mm — describe the reference prototype configuration, not a fixed product specification, and may change as the platform develops.
No offer and no catalogue
Nothing on this site is a binding offer to sell. Prototype machines, custom builds and collaborations are agreed individually, in writing, before any work begins; the prices, lead times and specifications in such an agreement are the ones that count.
Names and projects
Projects, products and institutions named in the landscape and guides are named for identification and discussion. Names and trademarks belong to their owners; mentioning them is not an endorsement by them or of them.
Contributions
If you send a correction, project or resource for the hub, you give us permission to publish it, and substantive contributions are credited on the page. Please only send material you have the right to share.
Liability
We work to keep the content accurate, but we cannot warrant that it is complete or current, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it. If you spot an error, the fastest fix is to tell us.
